On May 4, 2007, we again helped our client obtain asylum granted by an immigration judge in Texas. This client crossed the Texas border in 2006 running away from the persecution in his home country because he participated in unapproved religious gatherings and activities as a catholic. He was detained by the US BICE, bonded out, and then sought Attorney Stewart Lin's representation in the immigration court. Through a merit hearing held on May 4, 2007, the presiding judge granted his asylum petition.
It is one of countless successes we have obtained for our clients in immigration court. Over the years, Mr. Lin has represented hundreds of people in immigration court in all kinds of proceedings. In asylum or withholding cases, he has represented people from Asian, Middle East, and South American countries and has achieved resounding success. Asylum proceedings in immigration court take meticulous preparation and we are well-known for our preparation for such proceedings.
