Success Story: Asylum Granted to Our Client by the Houston Asylum Office

On October 25, 2007, the Houston Asylum Office granted asylum to a client of Lin & Valdez, LLP.  The granting of this case marks the continuance of our success in representing and helping clients obtaining the protection of the US government from persecution if they have to return to their countries.

Over the years, attorneys of Lin & Valdez have represented hundreds of clients in asylum and immigration court proceedings seeking release, bonding, asylum, withholding of removal, adjustment of status, cancellation of removal, or other relieves allowed by the Immigration and Naturalization Act.  Attorney Stewart Lin has personally appeared in courts in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Louisiana, and California and our clients are from all corners of the world.  This approval is another proof of the excellence of our work.

The petitioner in this case, with his wife who was not in the US yet, were persecuted in their country for violating a national policy.  As a consequence, they were punished physically and monetarily.  They also spent many years in hiding.  Not much educated, the petitioner was very nervous during the interview.  At the end, with the permission of the interviewer Attorney Stewart Lin effectively asked a sequence of questions to the client and made a convincing closing statement.  We can not describe the jubilation of the client when he heard of the good news.  Consequent to the approval, we have been in preparation of the derivative status application for his wife and children.  The family of this client shall be able to be reunited within a couple of years.

If you are pondering about applying for asylum, or if you are facing removal, contact us immediately.  As we always say, the help you need is just a click away!
