On March 19, 2007, we received an NIW approval for a case we filed for a client who is a housing planner for a Southern State. This client has been in the US for almost 20 years in various statuses. Even though he has a Ph.D. degree in Urban and Regional Planning, however, his case is a difficult one to formulate as there is almost no publication after he obtained his Ph.D. many years ago. As such, we could only focus on the importance of his work to that State. Specifically we focused on and presentation and argument for the various projects he presided for the State, the insight he possessed to the housing needs and development of the State, and the research and consequent plan he formulated for the State.
The joy our client has upon hearing this news is beyond description because he has used up all the H-1 period, is facing the possibility of having to leave the US soon, and has been in the US for so many years without getting the permanent residency. The case was filed in late October, 2006. The USCIS did not request for any additional document and just approved it. A great job done by our team!
