On April 3 and 4, 2006, two groups of Lin and Valdez clients went to the US Consulate to apply for L-1 visas. Both groups’ visa applications were granted and the clients had arrived yesterday (April 10, 2006) at the US to manage their US businesses.
Both groups of our clients applied to the USCIS for L-1 approval with Lin & Valdez representation in March of 2006 through premium process. Both applications were quickly approved, one in six days, and it just so happened that the two scheduled their visa applications one day apart.
The difference and uniqueness of these two cases from most of other cases is that rather than being filed by a US subsidiary, these two cases were filed by a US branch office of a foreign company, and an affiliate limited partnership of a group of investors who are also shareholders of a foreign company.
In handling these two cases, attorneys of Lin & Valdez not only provided immigration service, but also provided insight consultation in the choice of corporate entity to meet the respective client’s business purpose. In both cases, we also provided service in the trademark application of the business entities. Beautiful jobs done by our staff and welcome to our clients to the US.
