
Our
legal assistant, Mrs. Catalina Valdez pursued
her undergraduate legal education at the law school of Ovidius
University, in Romania, her home country. She completed
her four-year education with an outstanding G.P.A. of 3.76
and then continued her legal education through postgraduate
studies for one year in international law at a notable law
school, Bucharest University of Romania.
Following graduation in 1997, Mrs. Catalina Valdez started working as a legal
counselor with S.C. Complex Apicol S.A., the biggest producer of honey-based
products in Romania. During the four and a half years of full-time employment,
her work focused on advising the company in legal matters related to business
activities. She addressed legal issues in the areas of commercial contracts,
government regulations, collective bargaining agreements with the union, and
provided legal representation on behalf of the company in the Romanian Courts
of Justice.
Mrs. Catalina Valdez reads, writes, and speaks fluent English and Romanian.
She helps our attorneys research legal issues, especially those in immigration
field, prepare briefs and applications, and update the information in our
website.
